Hot Tub Install
« on: November 03, 2007, 10:10:24 pm »
Hi guys,

I'm thinking of purchasing a new hot tub and installing it it in my poolhouse. The poolhouse is 2 story, with 17 x 17 upstairs and 30 x 17downstairs (with 4 large windows). The entire poolhouse has sheetrock - not greenboard. Will this be okay or will I have issues with moisture?

TIA,
Tim

You will have issues with moisture, you need ventilation. It is usually recommeded that it be powered ventilation.

AS Vinny said you would need to add mechanical ventilation, I would also put it on a timer that will allow it to run for a half hour or 45 minutes after you get out of the tub
