crack in spa

Hi can eny one tell me i have just found a small crack about one inch long just above the filter tray it above the water line his this easy to fix thanks for eny help

I think if we knew what brand/model of spa you have it might be helpful- shells may be made of different types of materials, and some may be easier to fix than others.

Oh an infinity   I am afraid I have bad news The only way to fix it is to trade it in towards purchase of a D1 from SpaMan.

Ok now to reality, You may be able to purchase a repair kit from Dr.Spa as that is what I would do if I were a consumer and had that problem.

Water exerts much pressure on your shell.  It may just continue to crack, slowly.   It is hard to fix a crack....is there a warranty?  Find a marine supply company and see what they might suggest.  Is the ground under the spa level?  Something caused a crack, determine what caused it and fix that problem first.  Good Luck and be careful out there in the hot tub!!!!!

 If its not under warranty you can drill a very very small pilot hole at each end of the crack then epoxy with a good type epoxy.   Should work and should not spread??

For your information I was born in 1946 in London UK so I doubt that I am from the younger generation. I had to leave school at 15 to earn a living unlike the more fortunate that had well off parents to pay for college education. If the lack of punctuation upsets you then "tough"

Some believe punctuation is also a courtesy to the reader from whom you are seeking information.
