another chemical question
« on: October 22, 2007, 03:01:43 pm »
When I got the spa (hot spot) in July the dealer gave me chemicals, Brillance brand. He gave me the chlorine not the bromine.
took me a while to understand how to use them.
I need some new ones now. Do I have to buy Brillance or is any PH increaser, chlorine, etc the same.
Do I have to stick to the brand??
What brand would you folks recommend?
thanks
pat

I used up whatever was given to me with the tub then started buying from doc.  I buy whatever is cheapest... I"m not brand loyal on chemicals.

I'm with Brooke on that.  Chems is Chems.  Just compare the Ingredients and make sure its the same stuff.

Yeah, for instance Alk Up or whatever you call it contains 100% sodium bicarbonate.  Exactly the same stuff as Baking Soda, for several times the price.
