I have a relative who is replacing an old hot tub. Considering Hot Springs, but have been reading about numerous "board failures". Also, how can carpenter ants be blamed for leaks? New deck is being installed. Old hot tub is sitting on a concrete pillar below deck, don't know if that is practical with new hot tubs.
Anyway, is there a "Cadillac" out there? Or do you just have to expect that every manufacturer has its weaknesses.
Another common observation seems to be that good servicepeople are rare and the "swap until it works again" mentality is out there. That would seem to imply that a long-established dealer with a good reputation might have quality servicepersons.
Any thoughts?
