Water Change Question
« on: October 06, 2007, 11:23:36 pm »
If I refill the tub and start with dichlor say on Sunday and say a few days later get my new bromine stuff, do I just throw in the bromine in the floater?  Do I skip the the activator stuff that I would normally use?  Would it be better to just keep the tub empty until I get the new chemicals or is it okay to get started with the dichlor?

Go ahead and start with your dichlor.

You should still use the activator when you switch.

You can at any time change a chlorine tub to a bromine tub.  The only way to change a bromine tub to a chlorine tub is to drain and fill with new water.  As soon as you put bromine into a chlorine tub, it becomes a bromine tub for the duration of that water.
