hot tub cover attacked

The cover on my HS Jetsetter was cut by wild turkeys! They were cute and interesting until I realized their big claws had cut two holes in the outer layer of my cover. I can now see the blue whatever underneath. The cover feels somewhat heaver, but it's about three years old and I figured they get heavier with time anyway. The holes aren't large but the question is should I, OR do I need to, replace the cover. If so, does anyone have any suggestions as to the best replacement.

First off, a 12 gauge will take care of the turkeys.  If you're going to replace the cover, I would get another HotSpring cover.

If the holes are just in the outer layer and your inner core wraps are not damaged, you should be able to patch with a vinyl repair kit available at most any spa or pool store.

Under  the outer vinyl is a layer of polyethylene that seals and protects the foam. If only the vinyl is torn, you can  get a vinyl repair kit from Walmart (in the automotive  section) for about $10. If the inner polyethylene is also ripped, you can patch this with PVC tape (electrical tape).

If he doesn't really need a new cover, and can live with the look of the repair, there's no reason to get a new cover.
