Well, it didn't work out.  He countered me at $8495.   Maybe he'll change his mind.  But for now, it's on to Caldera and Bullfrog dealer.  

Solo, the Envoy is one fine spa. $8495 is a killer deal. I wouldn't let $500 stand in the way of spatopia. Once you get it home the money won't be an issue. This spa will last you over ten years. I'm sure you can sock away $50 per year to make up the difference.

I think if we stop wasting our time with this, the problem will go away. If we all stop responding, maybe solo will stop fence sitting or will stop posting. I think there is an enjoyment factor that is underling here ... he's playing with everyone's heads both the dealers and here. If we don't play there's nothing going on.

As I said in another thread, I stopped giving advice a while ago.

I like what Steve said about firing the customer ... if I owned my own store and a customer was a PITA I would gladly ask them to leave and never return.

I knew a guy who liked to go "car shopping" ... he wasn't buying a car but liked to haggle with car dealers - that was his game.

Personally I think we should all stop responding.
