Wednesday is typically a pretty slow day at the fair, so it twas a good opportunity to wander about and take in the sights, sounds, smells, illicit touching, and tastes available.

The next best thing to Fried Twinkies is the roasted ears of corn.  I like to slather mine with margarine, Parmesan cheese, Tony Chachere's Cajun Seasoning, lemon pepper, Tobasco Sauce, crushed red pepper, black pepper, and a little sea salt for flavoring:


Gotta love going to the fairs in Texas.  A wide variety of firearms are available for purchase (as long as you are over 16 and not a convicted felon):


This has got to be the cheesiest booth at the fair.  Someone has taken a blanket, hung it up on the back of a tent, and set up a beat up ol' Harley Davidson in front of it.  For only $10, you can get your picture made on it.  Next year, I'm gonna find a giant pig for people to sit on and get their picture took and make a fortune:


The pig races are always terribly exciting.  I believe David Letterham won this race with Arnold Schwarzenpigger coming in second:


Some high quality apparel is always available at the fair:



Happy T. Clown felt that I was dissin' him and sent one of his goons over to confiscate my camera, but I managed to elude capture:


I ended up getting recruited into the Sons of the Confederacy, but only with the stipulation that I can carry my AR-15 during battle re-enactments.  The seargent replied "Whatever it takes to beat dem damn Yankees!"


Our contestant of the night for the title of "Fairest of Them All" is Highwater Hilda with her Jacked up Daisy Dukes:

It's cool and partly cloudy here, but no rain.  It's all to the southeast of us.  Once again, I am denied the opportunity to mete out street justice to looters. :(

Thursday is when they have the Miss Gregg County Pageant, so there might be some women wif teef out tonight.  I'll do my best!
