State tax exempt if dr note for spa use

Is it true that you will not need to PA state tax if you a physician note that the spa use will be for therapeutic use (IE fracture in back)? Can it be a chiropractor or an MD? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

is that;

pay state tax

or

state tax in PA

??????????
If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Retired (mostly) from the industry after 33 years...but still putzing around with a consumer information website, and trying to sell obsolete owners manuals

Pattispa, go to search (above).  Type 'prescription' in the first box and in the section 'post in the last' (or some such thing) drop down to 'all posts'.  'Hit' seach.

It takes a bit for the results, skip the first 6,7,8 or so.  I think about #9 it talks about what you are looking for.  I believe it's state by state though.
Good luck ;)

Many sates do not allow a sales tax exemption for a spa.
Including here in Arizona.
As most spas can be used by more than one person at a time.
One of our competitors has been telling customers that it
is legal.  They are shocked when told otherwise.
I am sure many dealers have backed the tax out of the
sale price and told the people they were exempt.
Many customers have received tax breaks at other
levels.  Please check with your financial adviser.

Just come on out to Oregon and buy your hot tub here.  We don't have sales tax!

Pattispa,

I believe we are practically neighbors if you live in Allentown, Pa.

Our accountant just added the tax in as medical costs.

Hope this helps.
