Recommendation for Cover Relacement?
« on: August 07, 2007, 08:10:56 pm »
Time for me to get a replacement cover for my D1 spa.  Anyone have any suggestions on

- What and where to buy (local dealer or internet)
- Add-ons / upgrades that are worth paying for

I am in the northeast and have an easylift cover lifter.
(so I would guess that lift is harder on the hinge)

Thanks

Steve

Go to rhtubs.com. Read up on his covers.

The Dr Spa that posts here makes covers for tubs. People that have purchased one from him  have said some nice things about them.

You might want to go with his extreme cover, it's a 6" to 4" taper ... R21.

Hope this helps!

You asked about options or upgrades.  The foam in my current cover is watterlogged- cover weighs a ton, and I'll soon need a new one.
This 4 year old cover is otherwise in great condition- looks new.
One upgrade I'd consider is getting the foam double wrapped.  Doc offers that option, and if it extends the life of the cover it's got to be worth it.

I agree with that. I forgot that that was an option.
