New tub missing jets - Coast Helios
« on: August 04, 2007, 10:23:28 pm »
Okay, really bummed new hot tub owner here.  Our tub was delivered yesterday, and we didn't do a jet count ( it never occured to me that they wouldn't do it right).

I just realized that our 60-jet tub is missing 2 jets.  They're neck massagers that my husband was really looking forward to.  The inside ones are there (that are my size) but he's broader, and needs the outside ones.  One seat has them, and the other seat, they're missing from.

So, what to do now?  Will someone come out and drill and pipe 2 new jets, or do we just have to come the realization that we paid 15 grand for a tub that isn't what we ordered?  I'm so angry! >:(

Talk to your dealer.  Hopefully it was spelled out in the contract.

Check your bill of sale to make sure they are on there.  If they are on the order you are going o have to get a new tub.

Well, our bill most definitely says it's a 60 jet platinum series tub, and the jet configuration we were shown when we ordered shows that they should be there.

Guess I'm off to make a few phone calls.

My guess is Coast changed their design and your dealer either didn't realize it or they figured you wouldn't catch on.

Either way, if your contract states 60 jets, don't let them out of this.  Especially considering I used to sell Coast, and even in Canada, $15 grand is a ridiculous amount of money for one of their tubs.  The only one of theirs we ever even sold close to that was the TV/Stereo model, and even that was "asking price."

Good luck, Erin, and I hope it all gets worked out.

If Coast changed their design and eliminated two jets on a particular model, I am not sure if I would want them to be tearing my spa apart to add them.
