New test results
« on: August 04, 2007, 08:34:20 am »
Ever since I cleaned the lines of my circ pump and ozonator and mounted my Hartford loop above the waterline, I've noticed a stronger presence of ozone gas and ALOT more water/bubbles coming out of the port. So with these increases, I figured why not put my N2 and ozone to the test. Well I did. Last Saturday I added a 5 ppm dose of dichlor. I soaked everyday but one from then until today. I didn't add any dichlor all week and my water remained clear as new and had now signs of CC.
My test results this morning were 0ppm for all chlorine levels(atleast to my naked eye) and pH was right where it's been the last month(7.4). :)
Granted I do shower before almost all my soaks but I'm still pretty impressed with these results.

Btw, do not atempt this if you are new to water care maintenance.

A young, single guy soaking alone ... my life isn't so bad after all! ;) ;D

How and where did you clean out your lines? Are you talking about the line from the ozonator to the mazzi injector?

Did you have a Hartford loop already but just too low?

Experimenting with your tub, I'm starting to rub off on you ain't I!!  8-)

;D Yeah it's been lonely around here lately.  :-[

I disconnected the lines you mentioned above and soaked them in vinegar water and  used a pipe cleaner. The Hartford Loop was already there but was well below the waterline. Tony gave me some great advice and really made everything a breeze. It flows better now than it ever has.

Yep, you're the one that got me where I am today, so it's only right to keep following in your foot steps. :)

Now quit showering before use,see if it changes.  I never shower before use unless I have been out doing yard type stuff which on 6 acres can be alot.

The heck with that - start having s*x in the tub and see if it changes. Remember he's young and single! ;D

I'm sure six people in the tub would make quite a difference.
If you can't sell it on eBay, it may not even qualify as landfill.

Retired (mostly) from the industry after 33 years...but still putzing around with a consumer information website, and trying to sell obsolete owners manuals

You're correct, between not showering and having six people in the tub his chemistry wouldn't be so good.

Then again if he didn't shower would you get 5 more people in the tub with him?

 ;D ;D

With all the thinset, grout, mastic, and sawdust that always find a way to stick on me at work, I have to take a shower before soaking. Those things can't be good for the plumbing, heater, pumps, etc....

The only people in my tub since I've had it(10 months) have been female. Wow, I just realized that. I guess soaking in hot water in a bathing suit at night with a guy friend never really crosses my mind. Sadly though, I've only had 6 different females in my tub. I had 4 in there with me over the winter but nothing to exciting since. It's usually just me and my gal on the weekends and just me during the week. She's down in FL visiting her parents right now, so I might call those 4 "lady friends" tonight........ ;D
