Delivery Day Coming, what should I expect?
« on: July 09, 2007, 05:51:37 pm »
My spa is scheduled for delivery this weekend?  What should I expect?
  • For example, how long might it take, does having the electrician return cause big delays in having your first soak?

  • Will they install the lift during the delivery?
  • Should I clean the spa out before I fill it?
  • Will it be dirty?
  • I will have it recessed in an oversized opening, should I have the general place within the opening designated?
  • Do I need to treat the cover lifter with anything before I leave it out in the elements?
  • Will it be all that I hoped for... ::)

I have a million questions!  ;D

Hi In Canada..eh!,

Thanks.  What's the old saying...a watched pot never boils!  :)  It will get here and happen, when it happens and how it happens.  Probably will be too hot the first few days to enjoy it anyway.  But I would love trying!

2busymom, did you get a D1 Amore Bay?  If you did, do you mind posting the purchase price?  I'm considering getting that exact model and would like to compare the quoted price that I got.  Thanks!

Hi Crisms98,

No I didn't get that one, it was way too large for my tiny yard, and too expensive.  The price they quoted was around $12,000.  I did wet test the D1 Diplomat, I really liked the way the jets felt, but it seemed a bit expensive at $8400 without the lifter, lcd, etc.  It also had a pretty big foot print.

I bought a smaller more reasonably priced Marquis U630 it was around $7800.

Thanks. I was quoted around 14K out the door with the sound system included in the package.  The price you mentioned was quoted for a lotus bay out the door.

Among the three spas that I wet tested (grandee, nautilus and amore bay); amore bay is the winner.  Now if I could just get the dealer to lower his price  :)

Hi Crisms98,

You could be right, I initially thought it was around $13,000 (but I thought, nah, couldn't be that much), but it's possible.  The dealer I went to, said that they do not play with the price (unless it's about 3% as a cash discount, the cost of using a charge card), but might discount for cash.

Nice tubs, but seems a bit more than the others.  The price I was quoted (that I can't quite remember for that model ::)) did not include a stereo.  Good luck!
