Max temp is 104?

So I hear the max temp allowed for a spa is 104.  I personally like my spa water very hot!  I don't think 104 will do it for me - can you upgrade the heater to get it hotter - any other tricks to getting your water as warm as possible.

If the spa is ETL or U.L. listed 104 is the max.

 The hottest most spas will get now days is 104*  Jacuzzi and Sundance use to be able to go up to 108 with a special chip but no longer. I think you can thank the government for that one??

There is a plus/minus on that 104.  Set spa for 104 and see what it does.

A well insulated spa will heat just by running the jet pump with the cover on; the heat cannot escape.  Try setting at 104 and see if you like it.  If not, try running the pump(s) with the cover on.  Check in an hour and see how hot it got.

We've still got a few HotSpring spas that will go over 104, but their number is dwindling daily.

Sundance and Jacuzzi stopped as a condition of getting the Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval (or something like that).  My SD goes to 108 with a jumper change, but those built in the last couple of years won't.  Quite frankly, 104 is plenty hot for me.  I rarely set the temp above 102.

I have an old Hotsprings that has settings up to 109 I think, but there is noooo way I'd run it that hot, haha.  I can't stand more than 103 even in the dead of winter.  I'll trade you mine for a new one?

I have an 06 arctic and was able to change the jumper as well.  I can go to 107 and when i run the pumps with the lid closed for 20min, 108 to 109 I can reach.  In the dead of winter, I agree, it cant be hot enough.

I don't need to worry about this issue now since it is so hot down here - but come Winter this will certainly be an issue.  I will try that cover trick and see how it works.
