J-345 Electrical box?

Question for you all, where is the electrical box located on a j-345 and how do you get access to it?  We have an electrician coming on the day that spa is supposed to be delivered which is this Fri and he has worked on Hotsprings before and knows that the electrical box is different from Jacuzzi.  So the question I am asking is how do you know which is front, back, side, and etc and how to place the hot tub to run the electricity?  I am sure it will all get straightened out and work when they all arive, but just wondering if I could get an idea for myself before they get here.   To understand our setup the hot tub is going on a cement slab and electrician is going to drill into wall of basement and hook into box that way, running the wire along the cement slab, but we really do not want to have the box showing too much so curious as to how the tub should be set up.  We would like waterfall to be in the back of the tub with control panel on front.  Please let me know of any info you have.  Also being quoted price of $650 is this reasonable pricing we are in Norfolk VA?    Thanks.

A timely question as I just had my new J-345 hooked up yesterday and paid the electrician off today. He gave me a bill for $472 to do the job. My electric panel was 35 feet from  where he came through the foundation and another 10 feet to the tub once he mounted the box for the shut off. Your price would depend alot on the length of the run to the tub from the box as the guage of the copper wire has to be bumped up for runs over a certain length, I think its 50 or 60 feet.
The front of the tub is where the control panel is and the electric connection/panel is in the cabinet directly underneath the controls. You must take off 22 screws to get the cabinet front off and the metal box inside is where the wiring enters. There are 2 knockouts in the front sides of the base of the cabinet so you can run the wire into the cabinet through your choice of sides, or do as my electrician did and drilled a hole dirctly under the interior box, claiming the shorter the run the better. You cant see it anyway as I have a large set of steps and a platform along the whole front and simply notched it where the wire came across the front.
On the 345, a 60 amp service is best as you will be able to run both pumps and the heater at the same time, a 40 or 50 amp service the heater kicks off depending on what pumps and speed you are running pump 1 on. If you opt for the 60 amp service, MAKE SURE the jumper on the circuit board is set accordingly, I cant remember the exact pins but it is listed on the inside cover of the box once you take it off, factory default setting is 50 amp.

The dealer (Sundance) told me to give him an hour or two notice, and he'll take the panels off the floor model and allow me to come take measurements so I know where to bring up the wires once I decide on an exact placement on my patio.  Your dealer should be able to do something similar for you.

You can bring in the electric from any direction using a drill with a paddle bit.
